Ms. Fürst grew up in Germany, received a high school diploma in the United States, a Matura in Switzerland, and studied at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Lyon/France. She earned her MBA, with a specialization in Marketing, at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. She masters German, English and French fluently.
As Head of Marketing of Swiss luxury retailer Gübelin from July 2014 to December 2015 she successfully led a major marketing strategy transformation effort and positioned Gübelin as a pioneer in the identification of colored gemstones and the design of fine jewelry pieces inspired by the inside of the gemstone creating the brand strategy including the tagline “Deeply Inspired”.
Prior to joining Gübelin Christina was Strategy Manager at Philip Morris, where she also spearheaded significant strategic transformation, including the first-time creation of a clear positioning of OTP in the portfolio strategy.
As Head of Consumer Marketing for Roger Dubuis at Richemont for three years Christina was in charge of driving the development and the deployment of the advertising campaigns, the publishing strategy, media plan and digital strategy. She ensured implementation in terms of cost, quality and deadlines in order to strengthen brand image and increase the product attractiveness and sell-off. Christina developed the advertising, publishing and digital plans and deployed them globally to all regions. She was responsible of developing and controlling the worldwide Communication department’s budget and coordinating it with the different regions.
Previous roles included executive positions at Beiersdorf/LaPrairie, l’Oréal, and Procter&Gamble.
A highly effective marketing change agent, Christina has extensive experience at the intersection of marketing strategy and operations in the luxury and consumer goods industry – managing complex, large-scale strategy development transformation processes at global and medium sized as well as start-up organizations and working across cultures, continents and industries to achieve measurable results. Her strengths lie in the development of strategies to enable bringing people together throughout an organization and to reach agreement on a desired future state, develop a plan to implement the change, deliver measurable outcomes and position firms as leaders in their industries.
Christina is also known for her focus on branding partnerships and has a proven track record of reducing marketing spending through the effective reduction in “out of pocket cost” via synergistic branding projects targeted at increasing brand awareness. Over the course of her career she has learned not only how to spot these branding opportunities but also how to orchestrate cost savings in an organization in a process-driven yet efficient and creative way.
Finally, Christina is known for combining an analytical, future-oriented mindset with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who champions the digital marketing arena as an essential marketing tool. She is a strong believer in the clear positioning of brands and offering a superior brand experience to the consumer by combining off- and online media channels.
Recently, Christina Fürst has created her own consulting company Be Strategic which is specialized in the creation of brand strategies across luxury, lifestyle and consumer goods industry as well as IT and Pharma for start-ups, medium and large sized international organizations who seek to position/reposition themselves.
The combination of her seventeen years industry experience, her international network, and her digital marketing expertise make up Christina’s capacity to deliver inspiring brand concepts to her clients.
As „Senior Digital Inbound Consultant“ she currently also champions branding and digital transformation for Bee Inbound, Zürich, Switzerland.
